I fewl bad.. i didnt notice all these other parts of the fourm lol.....
Anyhow my primary cat has a bad exaust leak in it.. and today I'm going to go out there and fix this. I'll have sound clips of before and after on my next post :)

All in all.. my theory.. relocate the cats... away from the oil pan and transmission. To eliminate a major heating issue... maybe remove and add a single 2-1 cat...

Next question..

Where can I get a sturdy and reliable oil pan scrape guard?? I have a lot of bad dips here and don't want anything to get yanked off.

I don't think I would relocate the cats. Seems like a lot of work for no real gain. If you are going that far, why not just remove them.

If you are going to do an exhaust, I will recommend what I did to mine, which I got off the V8SHO.com forum.

First thing is to remove the flashing from the y-pipe. The flashing in mine was the worst the shop had ever seen. Next you want to replace your flex pipe. Moving back, remove the 3rd cat. It won't cause any codes, and the v8SHO.com group said it helped the breathing on the top. After that is the resonator. Some say it sticks into the pipe and is a restriction. Mine was smooth inside, so I left mine. If it is a restriction, remove it. Last, remove the bends going into the stock mufflers, the mufflers themselves, and the tips. Do NOT reuse the stock tips. Mine were about an inch and a half in diameter coming out of the mufflers.

That should about cover it.
