Hi guys!
I went to the track last night. It had rained so humidity was relatively high at 82%, but it had the effect of cooling down temperature under 70 degrees, which was a great opportunity to go try and get under 13 sec for once...
Traction was pretty good (thanks to Hankook summer tires), we had a tail wind, temperature dropped until 65 F... Since it had rained, nobody showed up... We were only 3 cars, 4 motorcycles and 3 pickups! So the owner of the track decided not to connect the radars for the 330ft, 1/8 and 1000ft... So, I only have R/T, 60ft, 1/4ET and MPH. I had new best results for 60ft and trap speed, but it didn't translate in a better E.T. Here are my best results :
60 ft : best 1.896 (that run I finished with 13.125 at 108.06)
MPH : 109.29 (that run I had 1.964 and time of 13.138)
1/4 : 13.079 (1.901 and 108.23)

I tried launching at different RPM and yesterday I had best 60ft launching at around 2500RPM instead of usual 1700-2000.

I also tried a few runs starting automatic for better shifting until it goes in third by itself and only at that point, putting it on manual mode to keep it on third. With Liv stag 4, it allows higher revs, so (since I don't have PP) it allowed to finish the 1/4 on third gear... I saved one shifting, but power after 6200rpm is not as good as between 4K-6K... Results were then the same doing that or leaving it auto. I figured it was better for the car to leave it auto after 4 runs trying with manual.

All-in, 11 runs, all between 13.079 and 13.166, all between 107.67mph and 109.29mph except for one at 105.16 and all my 60ft were between 1.896 and 1.964.

Talk about consistency! But I would like to be consistent in the 12's!

I will have to go back on a day when they glue the track to see if better, if not, I guess in the fall when temperature in the 50's... lol

Cheers all!

You've got plenty of traction... just need moar powah.
I guess... maybe with an exhaust... next year. But my trap speed of 109mph suggest that power is there for high 12'S if I compare with other similar tuned SHO's...
But hey, not too bad and certainly fast enough for the size of the boat!

Speaking from experience with this car and running probably a 100 12 sec passes now I can say that you definately have the power and speed to run 12's. Your 60ft still needs to come down, you should be low 1.8's. What's the elevation in Quebec?

ever so close man......damn that bites.
Cooler day, and complete cooldown of engine might help, and oh yeah all that junk in the trunk, maybe 1/4 tank gas instead of full, spare tire, go on a diet.:))) ??????

11 runs.

in one session?

I think it would need to be snowing to get 11 runs in at milan on a TT day.

After hjaving had a turbo car and running in different temps/humidities, the same 65F with under 50% humdity, or a cooler temp, would easily get you to the 12s.

After about 4-6 runs, I'm pretty much done for the night... If I'm not running good times (regularly my situation), I sit and watch everyone else run.

I thinks so too... It is hard to get 65F in the summer here in Quebec, very hot and humid. So better chances that the 12 sec will happen in the fall around September.

When we were planning the Lapeer Drag Days here a few years back, we would either do them before mid-May, or after mid-September. That kept us away from the nasty weather, as well as the Summer Gas.

First time I reply to my own post lol!
So, finally I will have a new custom exhaust system installed this Thursday... NOW, everything will be there for the 12's... If not, I don't know what to do anymore, because I won't go on Methanol with that car for sure!
Cheers!
