How would this intake work with a set of hot pipes since these go into the turbo
Correct, the entire filter was redesigned for ease of installation. The pipes are no longer blown out, and the IAT bung was reduced to match the size of our IAT.

I had asked the question over at EB and haven't got an answer, but I noticed that the IAT sensor bulb resides entirely inside the rubber mounting ****** on the filter and not in the path of the air flow like the factory box. Do you think this has any effect on how well it reads?
I chose to cut a little length off mine to allow the bulb to enter inside the filter, it was quick and easy, and possibly not necessary. Also, with no experience with the Gen 1, what are you speaking about in regards to "The pipes are no longer blown out".

Good to know . I had visions of searching for leaks.Common I hear with this intake. Still haven't installed mine yet but look forward to more induction noise
Exactly. Seems to sound like an open bov at low to mid throttle then it disappears.nope it's loud... like BOV stuck open or BOEING 737 loud
I’ll be making the pipes in a couple weeks
Found some new clamps to replace the old crap what are you think.
This is the noise delete and BBK throttle body.
