The other day, while taking the back roads to pick up my son (read: pushing the EcoBeast to it's cornering limits on those country curves) the steering failed and I almost went into a ditch. I got the EPAS failure warning and stopped the car, turned it off/on and haven't had the issue since. I have owned the car roughly 2 years prior with zero issues; currently a bit over 50k miles. I never track it and rarely push it too it's limits.
Has anyone else experienced this? I jumped on the interwebs and saw this was an issue up until year 2014 (supposedly). Could the SHO have the older steering system as it was a limited production model?
2015 SHO with a Livernois 93 octane tune and precision plugs.
