I recently went through replacing the cps and waterpump. I also made the mistake of washing my engine. Now my problem is the engine seems to have a slight miss or backfire when driving at low speed or at constant velocity. It seems to happen more when the car is warmed up. The car seems to kind of surge and slow causing a little chugging while travelling at about 45 mph. Anyone know anything I should check?

Another one bites the dust (water)....

Welcome to the Forum. I hate it when I read about this mistake.

You will find that water has found its way into areas that it is not supposed to be in an electronically controlled engine. The first areas to check are the spark plug wells. Remove the plug boots and suck or blow the moisture and any oil that might be in there. Make sure that the plug boots and wells are completely dry before reinstalling the boots. Youcan try the helpful "search" feature at the top right of the Forum's pages to look for the words "water pressure wash engine." Read about the others that have followed the same sad path.
