Engine surging at 50 - 55?

I guess a more defined description of "surging" is needed.

Thanks for your interest.

Thinking through this, it almost feels like the car is missing at 2G or between 50-60. It's only happening at that speed. No sign of it from 60 - 110 mph.

That's why I'm baffled, idle is smooth & low end dig (love that Porter mod!) has good power.

Could this be a PCM issue? It almost points to something electrical.

What's the possibility of a bad cat? At 147K it's possible!

Bad cat should throw a code I would think. Does the mphs change?

No, it just has a stutter like it wants to go but. The car isn't stalling or anything serious.

my friend had this happen on his 94 mtx and after about a month of this happening he decide to clean his maf........no problems since!!! use some electric parts cleaner!
