I have a 92 Ford SHO, 3.0 5 speed. I just got home and on my drive back my SHO started revving by itself between 1500 and 2000 rpm when I had the clutch in and once I was at a stop and in neutral it would idle at 2000 rpm. I know only a little about engines so I would appreciate it if someone could give me some insight on this issue and how it can be resolved.

Unplug your MAF and see if the problem goes away. If it does try cleaning the MAF and then possibly replace it. If unplugging the MAF does nothing then you might need to change the IAC.

Pull the codes and see what comes up. Get back to us after you pull the codes.
