I have a 94 MTX with 168,000 miles. About a month ago I noticed that when I pull up to a stoplight in neutral or am letting my SHO warmup in my driveway in neutral the RPMs will rev up and down. The problem keeps getting worse and the revving is getting more violent. It has stalled from a dead stop several times in the last few weeks just while sitting at a stoplight. Any idea what this could be? I also need new transmission mounts. Anyone know what these will cost me? Thanks

sounds like your idle air control valve. its right by the throttle body on the intake. you could try cleaning it and it wouldnt cost anything but new i think they are close to $100.

Best bet is the Idle air control valve (IAC). Take it off and clean the interior and it usually does the trick. New ones are $80.00.
Another culprit is the Throttle position sensor (TPS), but it is more of a long shot. New ones are $35.00.
The manual transmission mount is $55.00 and they claim the automatic is $20.00, but I would look into that a little more before I ordered it. Sounds too good to be true.
