I don't know what to do now, I have this problem since september 2011. I have some problem with the car that look like engine problem. Ford said we cannot reproduce the problem... I have some issu with the acceleration, sometimes everything is fine, and like 2 minutes later, the car lost some power and make some strange nise that I think is coming from the turbos. Sometime I have my RPM fluctuate and I don't know why but the car run perfectly all the time when it's minus 20 Celsius???? Sometime I think I heard turbos engaging but not a the same time, so I had 2 push of power. Sometime the car lag and the power return progressively. At the beginning I was thinking maybe the trasmission have problem, but when the motor look like running well, the tramission is perfect too. I guess its an engine problem and Ford won't do anything, AND A HAVE NO CHECK ENGINE ON, how could this be possible with all that strange things hapening. FYI my car run on Super and use synthetic OIL since i bought it.

Do a quick check and make sure all the turbo hoses are connected and tight.

I noticed a definite loss of power, odd noise and surging after the dealer did the tranny TSB on my 10. Before I took it back in for the flaking tail lights, I looked under the hood and noticed the main turbo hose was not connected. Once I got it connected and tighted, everything was back to normal.

Hi Carl,
I know exactly what you are describing and its your lucky day. Read the attached link and have the dealer change the knock sensor as the wires from the knock sensor are rubbing against the block. You should be able to see this issue clearly on your own and actually you can tape the wires back if they are still intact and see if it fixes your issue.

Check the thread on page 2 about checking your knock sensor wires for chaffing. That may help.
