engine lights

i wanna hook up some blue led's under the hood and i dont wanna run a switch. i would like for them to come on whenever i start the car and go off when it turns off. what materials do i need and or any places you would reccomend to hook up from?

I know I'm wasting my time but, why? Are you going to drive your car around at night with the hood open? This could be a Darwin monent.

finished the blue led's today. the led's will light up under the snakes.

i do not have my intake on right now that is the paint job i just finished on the intake. whenever i do get the intake on ill show you what it looks like with the led's shining through the snakes. i wired up the led's to turn on through the ignition

I think I read some where that some one stuck there intake in the oven to bake it. I would let that paint really cure before you assemble it.

.....well, right now it looks like you took a pic with your led trouble light under the hood

but I'm sure when it's all back together, it will look :gayroll:

u think it will look ***? whatever my car ill do what i wanna do with it. and thats what i have read to about curing it. i think when i get it assembled it will be fine. the engine heat will bake it on there

No! I think it will be sweet with those lights. I'm definitely going to do that to my plus when I get some time I just can't decide on a color.....there are so many to choose from! I'm thinking orange? Maybe with a bright red intake? What do you think?

Looks cool, did you throw in a relay so the lights only come on when it's running.



Remember to drive around with the hood up so everyone can see..

lol ive been cruising around town with the hood open.... almost took out a old lady. but i ran it through the fire wall and into my fuse box. turns on with ignition dosent have to be running

nope, look on fuse panel under the dash. its a 30 at the very bottem, i forget what it was
