When I accelerate at W.O.T. and lift the engine will rev freely for a second or two before finally coming down in rpms. Feels like you pushed the clutch in but still had your foot on the gas. Yes I know it is an automatic tranny, but the best way I can describe it. Does not happen all the time but frequently. Curious if anyone else has ever experienced this and what may be the cause.

Sport mode will rev hang for a few seconds after lifting. Just assuming that's the drive mode you're testing. Normal.

Well there is no sports mode in my 2010, but then it is tuned. I guess it does makes some sense for a track mode to keep the rpms/boost up assuming you are about to get on it again. That's something I did not consider. In that case, just wish I could choose when to use it or not. May talk to my tuner about it.

Never heard of that happening to anyone before, maybe your meth is hanging open continuing to spray?

Ok, just got back from a drive. Realized it's not actually w.o.t. It's when I am feeding into the throttle quickly to about 1/2 throttle but it is getting heavy into the boost at higher rpms and I suddenly lift off the throttle.

It has happened with and without the meth turned on. (different tunes and tuners) The common factor seems to be heavy into the boost at higher rpms then suddenly lifting. My initial thought when it happened the first time was maybe it was because the computer was leaving the throttle open a tad because it was unable to bleed off all the boost quickly enough.

It actually has been happening randomly for years. I did do a KAM reset recently, maybe that's a factor but don't recall that connection when it has happened in the past.
