I have a '91 SHO with a manual transmission. It has over 200,000 miles, but has been a very reliable car. Last week I was on my way back from La Crosse (two hour drive one-way) when it started to misfire. It would run on 5 then 4 and back to 5 cylinders. I pulled the car in my shop and replaced the sparkplugs and sparkplug wires. That did not work. I then replaced the DIS module, coil pack, crank sensor, and cam sensor. I tried to start it and it purred like a kitten for about 5 seconds and then died. It will not start but does fire. It acts like it is flooding itself out. I have triple checked the firing order and am confused. Do I have a valve(s) sticking or does anyone have any idea what I should do next? I am about to junk this car out...

First off... Have you ever checked the codes? That would be the first step, way before replacing everything.

If you think it is an injector, you can test them out by taking off the intake, jumping the fuel pump to run, then grounding out each injector with the non-red wire to test if they are working.

Check your codes, then report back....

Find the Data link connector on the passenger side firewall near where the glove box is. Ground the terminal marked fuel pump in the picture with the key on. This will force the fuel pump on and verify if the relay and wiring up to the inertia switch is good. With this connector grounded there should be a constant 12V+ on both sides of the inertia switch.
