Well, the car is finally back together from a winter of work. I did a fair amount of things to the car (rod bearings, more gauges, inlcuding oil temp, replaced a leaking cam seal, new thermostat, repainted the engine bay and had the intake re-powder coated. The before and after pix are below. I've got a firewall and tb cover and strut tower brace that needs to be installed, but that's just finishing work. Sorry they are a little dark.

Much nicer color combo than the previous one! Looks awesome.

What do you do for tuning on the car, just an LPM? How much boost?

I think the old color combo was nice too, its just that the after picture has everything all cleaned up and shiny.

The bright, arrest me red that was on the intake and blower really just clashed with the electric red of the car - it never should have been coated that color combination, IMHO. I had either a leaking cam seal or rear valve cover leak, but I couldn't tell for sure because EVERYTHING back there was covered in oil. So, I pulled the intake and valve cover to fix it. While it was torn apart I just had it all recoated. Actually, just the valve covers and blower tubing were redone - the intake that is on there was a spare. The original red one is bolted to the wall in the garage above the tool box.

With most of the stuff off of the engine I was able to unbolt things from the engine compartment and pull it back away from the sheet metal. Any brackets I could pull were pulled, then wire brushed and painted black. The engine compartment was cleaned, wiped with paint thinner, primed, painted and clear coated. The prep work took hours and hours. The painting took a half a day.

Regarding tuning on the car it's been custom dyno tuned with a superchips. It's got a 9psi blower, but I never see over 6psi. It's around 294hp at the wheels. Not so much I'll blow the enging right away, but enough to make it that much more fun.
