Well the torque converter was stumbling after i replaced the engine so I'm replacing the trans with a new old unit (previous post of mine).

Pulled the cradle in 4 hours this time working alone. The electric power steering was shuddering also so im replacing the rack with a new one ($900). The steering is actually locked up, even manually trying to move the wheel. The right inner tie rod boot had a big hole and the rack is full of water and rust. Water poured out of motor when removed. Must be debris lodged in there preventing movement.8eb1f909eac76753b601b4c8f148127303b3f02e6d62d9a246adccdd9d5a806aF10645996b5206af8962045f3a7bc9f3616ee08b74543aae15ebb6ffd551ccf8

Looks like there's a clearance issue between the sway bar and that boot. I should probably have a boo at mine.. thanks for posting this.

The car is lowered, so maybe swaybar is hitting.

Can you take and share 8 to 10 pics showing the engine all around?
It is a great opportunity to see what cannot be seen when the engine is mounted.

I am not the original owner so it could very well have been underwater he didn't say flood damage in the title but who knows right

Sure will as soon as I get the rest of the accessories on I'll pull it up on the engine hoist and take a bunch of good pictures

Got it all back together. The trans shifts perfect and there was no programming required. I did reset my adaptive learning for the trans with my Autel scanner but it was shifting great right away. The power steering rack didnt require any programming either. Big difference with new rack, tie rods and alignment. Not a single leak this time around. So now my 140k mile sho has a 30k mile eng, new trans, ptu and turbos. Will be interesting to see how many miles the rest of the car will last. Maybe the RDU is next up. 5e5a5757c4ee93bd04c3ad5ffa72a8af67d9bf8daa0bcbc7aa2faaf2d5454e24379b8126381ca36a91494b3d11f07b0a294b7663ae3803c767af77983d9a95a352a68305435867d672bbc693a3a375ffC75be09ff3f8b9fbf78828457da36a10

Are you anticipating the RDU or hoping for it, LOL. Few cases of it going bellyup, so I hope it has good service life left. Not a cheap unit to replace.

That's good to hear, I'm going to change fluid soon. Working on these is a hobby for me so I dont mind replacing things.

How hard was it to drop the cradle, can you do a write up? I have some leaks and a few issues and with 130k, I wanted to do a tear down.

Btw, I also have a hole in my tie rod boot

I bought an alldatadiy subscription for $30 and have used it for most of my repairs. Well worth the money.
