engine brace questions

Ok I'm off to start building my own engine brace. I saw the one Josh made on his video and it looks pretty easy. I also saw SDpatt's drawings but couldn't make out any dimensions.

I really want to make the simple triangular shaped end one (like the one in the SNO NUT clutch video). Where should I place the bolt in relation to the intake? This is where the engine chain will hook onto. Also, how thick should the the 2 beams that extend across the engine bay be?

Any input and suggestions as well as drawings will be appreciated.

It might be easier to just rent a transverse engine support from a local tool rental type place. Usually about $8-$10 per day or like $50 for the week. Cheaper than buying one, less hassle than making one, could even be cheaper than making one depending on your local lumber prices. Sort of a happy medium in my mind.

Nick claims it costs about $25 and 1/2 hour of assembly time to make. I'm pretty sure his $25 price estimate is based on Home Depot prices.

Folds away when not in use, and much less bulky than 4x4s. The one 4x4 design I know of (as per the SHO NUT clutch video) takes longer to install on the car and has a single suspension point whereas mine has two suspension points which
gives you greater flexibility in angling the engine.

Just to clarify, the instructions to look at the original photo of the diagram with all of the details visible are described in this topic. Just read the instructions in the post.
