so she passed NOx suprisingly but failed for a slightly high count of HC and a very high CO2 count. smells a little rich...shortly after the test threw me a 172 code. Im guessing a rear 02 sensor ? Also how many 02s does this car have ? 2 or 4 ? I was told 1 for each bank but i could be wrong ?

Only has 2 O2 sensors. Id replace both. If one is bad, the other one should not be far behind. Also, tap your cats with a blunt object and listen for the sound of small particles falling down from within. If you hear this, your cats are bad as well. :thumb:

i have another issue you might know something about. ive had like 15 differnt answers to this question actually. im a newb to owning an SHO and mines actually pretty beat, but my issue is my wipers turn off wherever, they dont park. I have lo and hi but intermittent settings just puts the wipers on low, and if you hit the washer button the wipers will go nonstop till you turn off the car. I was told a bad switch, a bad motor, and a bad controler relay. im leaning to the controler because when you cycle though the intermittient section of the **** i hear a violent rapid clicking coming form under the dash like some relay is having a fit. what would you make of this ?

Eh, well first, it wouldnt hurt to disassemble the multifunction switch. There are contacts that control the wiper functions and they would be dirty. Clean those and then see if it is still messing up. If it is, then i would think the controller relay is bad.

Give me a second and i will see if i cant find a thread that shows you how to disassemble the multifunction lever... I know it has been discussed before.

EDIT: Here is the write up... http://www.shotimes.com/php-bin/mod...e=article&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0&sid=120

EDIT2: http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=52850&highlight=wiper+control+disassemble This thread might help ya too.
