emg brake locked up

got in my car this morning.....parking/emg brake stuck!!
was cold...19
I use it all the time so I must assume there is a **** issue...
where are the **** points..and what ****??

LoL!! I've been there done that.. drug the rear end about 2 blocks trying to pop it loose, but it didnt work. I let it sit until it got warm. Or maybe put a torch on the line itself... or pull the cable out of the caliper, but being as cold as it is.. lol your kinda screwed... :) At least your in TN its supposed to be a little bit warmer tommorow. :) GL!

FYI...new cables are $15 a side from local auto parts stores. You'll spend not much more time changing them out versus lubing old ones. Not saying this is necessary...but a hung emergency brake can take out a rotor/pad real quick and that right there is the price of two new cables.

mine were a little locked up this morning.. but they released by the end of the driveway:thumb: (cables are only a few months old FYI) the car just hates me for driving it in winter i think:oogle:

Just leave it in gear, thats what I always did in winter. I never had a problem until it was slushy out, after that, if I used the parking brake, it would freeze for sure. :)

Sometimes mine sticks too.
They are about 2 months old, all 3 brand new cables.
I think the system is just shit. I need to^put mine on to use my remote starter and swing it aroud on the snow. So if it seize on me, I'll just change them again.
