Email ban

In trying to update my information I realized that there was an old email address listed. When I try to change it I get the message that my email address has been banned. Obviously my username is still allowed.

The email address listed in my CP is no longer a valid address (probably why it was banned) so I do need to update it.

I did choose the option to send a moderator email but that was a while ago and I have not heard anything back. And yes the new, valid email address was included in that email.

What kind of email address is it? I know they don't let you use certain email accounts like hotmail, gmail, etc...

I think anything/anyone Sam related gets banned.

Gmail, hotmail, etc. accounts have to be manually added by an admin.

IIRC they had a problem with spam bots years back so only paid email address were allowed. Free ones had to be allowed on a case by case basis after you prove your a real person,I guess.

It was a form of a gmail account. It was my old school address so it was a .EDU

The email was accepted originally. It only became an issue when I tried to change it.

Yes, they need to be manually added by admin. I tried changing mine several months ago and I believe others have too. Admin has not been able to be here much lately, so don't know when/if they will be done.

I tried the link provided when I tried to change my email to my yahoo account and have not seen a change. It's not critical to me at the moment, as I still have access to the email account that was listed, but it is something I would like to get changed.

The messages I could find for email address changes have been changed. If you want/need yours to be changed and it hasn't been done already please PM me the new email address. I will do my utmostest to not fall as far behind as I have in recent times.
