electrical smell while braking??

My brakes are now out of comission. When I was driving after the car had been sitting for about 6 months the brakes would barely slow the car down and it smelled of electrical fire??? I haven't looked into it yet, but have any of you experienced this before??

Only thing you can do is really inspect them too see whats up. Jack each wheel up and check it see if it spins freely, then remove the wheel and look at the pads to see how much material is left on them. Then look at the rotors to make sure there not rusted big time from sitting.
