I am about to take my EGR tube to a welding shop to have them weld the ****** back on...

I thought I read somewhere that welding this tube is hard due to the type of material it is made of. Anything I should take note of before I go ahead?

No difficulty involved. I had Adam Varney's (AVC1081) EGR tube welded by a local Midas shop. Just make sure you get the ****** aligned correctly before you have them weld it. Otherwise, it may be very hard to reinstall it.

The Midas Shop used a TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welder and it worked just fine. All you need is a couple of dabs to hold the tube in place. There is a tapered hole in the ****** for the tube to press fit into.
