I HAVE A 95 SHO 96000 MILES. AND I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD TELL ME HOW I KNOW IF MY EGR VALVE IS BAD. I DISCONNECTED THE VACUME LINE OFF THE VALVE AND NOTHING HAPPEND IS THE VALVE SUPPOSED TO BLOW OUT AIR OR SUCK IT IN. BECAUSE IT IS NOT DOING EITHER ONE IF SOMEONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS COULD YOU LET ME KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Your EGR only works off idle and not at WOT. A good way to actually test the valve is to pull off the vacuum line, attach a short piece of rubber hose to the EGR valve and suck on it. If the valve works then the idle will drop sharply.

If it isn't working you should be getting a check engine light.
