I can't find out the electrical characteristics of the ECT sensor which supplies the signal to the PCM (not the one that controls the temp gauge).
I placed a new one in the freezer and then measured the resistance between the 2 pins which was 0 ohms. Then placed the brass tip in boiling water for about 3-4 minutes and still got a 0 ohm reading.
Was expecting to find out the sensor is a thermistor and would report different resistance variations or that it was a thermal switch and would report 0 at one end and infinity at the other.
Anyone know what readings to expect?
