Autozone has the Wells SU201 for $18.99.
It has the 2 pin connector on it. The one already on the sho looks like the same type connector as the oil pressure sending unit...
do I have the right one?
BTW, 91 model.
Thanks.

The one that looks like the oil pressure sender is the sender for the Gauge in the dash. The ECT is a 2 wire sensor with a 1" hex on it. It is located (if looking at the thermostat) to the right of the outlet and aimed out at an angle towards the master cylinder.

Yea thats an ECT they are trying to sell you at autozone, but its plastic. You dont want that. Get the metal one for no more than $30.

I had to specify a part # to those idiots for the temp gauge sending unit.

Which one do you need? The ECT or the temp gauge sending unit?

The ECT has two wires the gage sender has one. There is nothing wrong with the plastic one. Certainly not worth double the money to get one that has a bit more metal on it, not like the plastic one has plastic threads.

"not like the plastic one has plastic threads"

Just for clarification, Yes they do have plastic threads on the plastic one. In fact, the WHOLE piece is plastic, even the 1 inch nut on it. Hey, it'll work just fine, but good luck getting it back out.

The guy that tryed to sell me the plastic one even admitted, "Its the same part # for the ACT" (Air Charge Temperature sensor?) The one that goes in the air box.

NAPA Metal ECT #TS4060- $28.91 including tax.

the plastic one I got is only plastic at the connector. The threads and the head of it are brass.
The ECT that was giving a CE light was BROKE off where the plastic connector is glued? to the head of it. (So it wasn't even sending a signal at all!) It must've broke off during install of the rebuilt motor. In THIS case, the ALL metal one would have paid off. wink

* Really? Try and say that after spending over 24 hours trying to get the "Plastic" POS out after it broke!! The plastic one fails more, and flat out SUCKS

See my unfortunate incident here...
