**SHO Quaife Group Purchase**
I have been in contact with Quaife out of the U.K. They have agreed to make another production batch of ATB Helical LSD front differentials for our MTX4 Transmissions. This is an extremely rare opportunity to purchase an upgrade that is sought after to prevent diff pin ejections as well as improving traction for track/autocross and daily driving.

More info on the Quaife and what it is can be found here... https://www.z1motorsports.com/differential-upgrades/quaife/quaife-limited-slip-differential-lsd-p-2397.html

If you are mechanically inclined, you can install it yourself. This involves removing the trans and disassembling it to replace the differential. Its a bit of a process and takes a little time, but well worth the effort. If youd rather not do it yourself, Mike Stimson from SHOSource has offered options that still allow you to obtain this unique upgrade.
"I can install for anyone who needs it. $300 labor plus around $200 return shipping for the transmission. The labor covers the disassembly/inspection/reassembly, so I can replace blocking rings, seals, synchros, HD gears if you have them. I have a couple sets of blocking rings, synchros, and standard gears I could sell. I could also install the Quaife in one of our used transmissions to save one way of shipping and give you a second transmission."

The arrangement from Quaife is a batch order, shipped via a pallet to my residence. They do not ship individually to each person who orders. Once i place the order, we are put on the "schedule" for the next available slot where the production team can start making them. When contacted earlier this year, the wait list was a few months until they could start production. You should be able to expect (i presume) your LSD in the early months of 2022. Once the order arrives to me I have to individually ship each unit to anyone who placed an order. Pricing is $870 per unit shipped within the USA. This includes $1000 worth of shipping insurance to protect your purchase investment.

If you are the mechanically inclined, Grade 10.9, 12mm ****** bolts and locking nuts are available to be shipped w/ your package for an additional $35. To put this in perspective - I bought the last one in the USA a few months ago. It cost me $1,200 for the unit, shipping, & hardware for installation (Not including installing it myself!) This is a rare opportunity for a damn good price!

All orders and FULL payment MUST BE SUBMITTED BY NO LATER THAN OCT 15th! My paypal is [email protected].
Please message me with your shipping address and paypal info for administrative purposes.
Paying by check is also acceptable if you do not use paypal or want to avoid fees. Please message me if you would like to go this route.
The only exception to payment in full is if you are ordering more than 1 unit. (for those of you wanting to order more than 1, please contact me)

I currently have orders for over 20 units. This is going to happen people. Dont hesitate and miss your opportunity.
It may be quite some time before enough people need one and another group buy can be started again. Dont say i didnt warn ya 1f609 -Kevin

That would be a great price. I paid $1250 for a new one from Shomesomesho awhile back. He had an extra from an earlier group buy

I have opinions on their utility in driving situations.

BUT.... for any SHO I own long term, they are the best for reliability. Even if you don't do a dragstrip or road course.

I have been in contact with Quaife Differentials out of the UK. After posting on facebook i have found a general consensus that people would be interested in a group buy for NEW Quaifes.
I am currently in discusssion with them, but each unit would cost $715 NEW, not including shipping. I am waiting to hear back from them on the options.
I figured i would post on here to let everyone know who may not be on bookface or social media.

I will post an update when i know more.
If you are interested, please let me know the following so i can easily calculate costs

1. City and State for shipping options/costs
2. First and Last name
3. Quantity of units you would like.
4. questions?
I'm interested. I'll PM you your answers.

Also in for some synchros and blocking rings :p

QUAIFE UPDATE

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be waiting till AFTER the convention to finalize the Quaife group order along with collecting payment from everyone.
My tentative plan is to have all funds sent to me via Paypal by no later than Oct 15th, which is roughly 30days after the conclusion of the 29th Annual SHO Convention. I will be sending requests out for payment. Please plan accordingly with your finances. This will allow enough time for people to set aside funds and plan ahead, and any last minute buyers enough time to submit an order.
Thank you for understanding.
If you have any questions, please ask.

Units will be $800 + shipping in the USA. I suspect $50 for a flat rate box and package insurance. Will know "exact costs" right after the convention.

All orders have to be paid for and submitted to me no later than Oct 15th. 2021. Less than 1 month to go before I close the group buy and submit our purchase to Quaife.
$870 per unit shipped in the USA.

me too! at least we know the specs are still around
I think the last run they did might have been back in 2008 or before. Can't seem to find anything more than a potential group buy by Josh. This would probably be the last chance to get one of these. Do I need another one
