ECT sensor bad

0F4E6002 0E67 4C8D 89E3 CD1D9384DDA0 E4F26227 BE73 44B5 855B 2E85EFC86730 The other night after some racing I had an over temperature warning first time ever In This car. Coolant is the right amount both fans work no leaks or damage to the radiator. Only guess is that since the car didn’t actually overheat it’s the sensor. I saw a video of the NA 3.5 the sensor is under the intake manifold do I have to take off the j take manifold and piping to get to it?

That's a new one for me. Maybe it's a sticking thermostat...?

I just took a quick peek and it apears 2016 only has a cylinder head temperature sensor. So using your temp gun, your not really getting the full picture. 40° difference though between the sensor and your gun considering that it's monitoring the head temp isn't too bad.

When was the last time you did any cooling system maintenance?

Yes it is under the intake and probably has to be removed to pull it out.

You blew the head gasket? Damn, that sucked royally. I'm HOPING you had a ESP warranty or something?
