well got off the phone with Ford they wont buy the car back, or offer me an exteneded warrenty after I said I needed to get legal advice. so its off to the lawyer.

The gas debate will forever go on. Ford says 87 is fine. The official line is that the car looses a little HP on 87 but torque is the same. Which is weird since hp is a function of torque.
Im sorry, Can you fill me in on why your seeking "legal advise"? I guess i quite don't understand why your still seeking MORE after Ford, no questions asked, is replacing your motor.
Just got off the phone with ford. they asked the standard questions, did you do regular oil changes, did you drive after you noticed the problem, have you modified it in any way. The lady was looking for some hints to possible make it seem my fault, which there is none.
He should be able to run what ever fuel the owners manual says and not have to pull plugs to see if it is running lean on a NEW $40k car.

It should start and run correctly EVERY time! Thats why you buy a new car,to not deal with this ********.
