I was debating posting this under the "use any eatc" but that thread is pretty dead, so I thought I'd make a new one.
Seeing that it is well below freezing outside, I pretty much run the heater on high in my sho non stop while driving.
First off, I've never actually used the auto function of the eatc.
Since the SHO is getting up there in miles and was not the most well cared for car, the heater core is starting to loose efficiency, probably due to being clogged with dust.
I have to use the air recirculation in order to keep a "room temperature" in the car. But this means that I have to use the max a/c button because standard vents, use outside cold air vs. the max a/c reusing the already warm interior air.
Here is the problem, as I'm driving and the windshield starts to fog, I will hit the windshield defrost button on the eatc. I'll let that run for about a min or two then switch back to the max a/c so it will recycle the warm air through the vents. This is where the problem is.
When I hit the max a/c button, it automatically resets the eatc temp to 60 degrees, which means while I'm driving down the road, I have to tap the red temp increase button 2 dozen times to get it back up to 90 degrees.
This is very frustrating because I will do this every 5-6 minutes because the windshield will start to fog up but need to switch back to the max a/c through the vents to keep me warm.
Is there any way to program the Max a/c button to "remember" the last digi temp setting, so that the next time it is pushed, it will go back to that setting.
I hope that this is not too long of a post. Thanks for any help. Sincerely, Scott
