EATC and Hord Gremlins

I THINK it is my EATC that is crazy and not the A/C system itself.

Here is my problems. It started out when the fan **** on my eatc unit stopped working. I would try to turn the fan down, and nothing happened. It is totally dead. Then as I tried to turn the unit off, air would blow through the defrost vents, eventhough the EATC said off. finally I have gotten to where the air only comes on if the EATC is stet to 60. Then it blows hard and cold...like it should....but if I raise the temp to 65....it shuts off. I am guessing that I just need to get a new (or used new to me) eatc and replace it. Is that easy? what eatc's will work without modification?

As for the horn....every so often when puingg into or out of parkign places, the horn honks. No reason why....dont know what to do. it just honks.

Any idea on that?

Sounds like it may ne the blower control module. Or it may be the EATC head too. You should run the EATC self-test to see. I have both of these parts if you need any of them. E-mail me if interested, [email protected].
