Well, these fit on the SHO and i'm wondering if anyone has them mounted on their vehicle?

I'm still up in the air if i want to get rims. I would love 13inch brakes but would need bigger rims. Also i would like rims that let you see the brakes.

The series 192 comes with the 5x4.25 bolt pattern (which i believe is equal to 5x108. im bad at the whole rim/tire stuff still. its never something i was really into). http://www.aewheel.com/eagle_alloy_wheels.cfm?id=97#

If i get rims for the SHO, i would prefer a simple and good looknig 5spoke rim. or something with as little spokes as possible. I have a multi spoke rim on my malibu in the summer and keeping them clean is a pain. you gotta go and clean each individual spoke by hand to get them to look great. 5 spokes=easier to clean.

Anyone have any nice 5 spoke rims on their taurus? pics? I've seen the TD pr wheels and i just dont like the look of them. Also i wouldnt want any sort of deep dish rim. Same goes with rims that have studs/rivet looking things on them (like the american racing razor rims).

Anyone have the American Racing "Maverick" rims on their SHO? Those would be the only rims from AR that interest me. Except 17inch rims fro mthat style are all chrome. I rather have polished over chrome.

i wouldnt want anything larger then 17. If im throwing anything larger then 17s on the SHO, i might as well throw on some pink vinyl racing stripes, JDM windshield sticker, mustang spoiler, various stickers for AEM, Eibach, K&N, and maybe top it off with underglow.

The body kit would take awhile to fab up, but once the epoxy sets in, it will be golden. I could show my car off at the circus and make some money too.

Oh, i also said i wouldnt want chrome. polished is my choice. chrome is a pain to clean and gets dirty very easily.

Well, i guess i better start putting stickers all over my car then. I never would have thought 18's would make my car rice.

Wheels sir, they are called wheels.

IMHO, those 192 are quite ugly and looks like factory wheels that automaker put on their fleet vehicles.

Finding wheels for the SHO isn't an easy task, the 5X108 pattern severely limits the choices out there. Knowing what you want or don't want is great, but be prepare to bend on those thoughts. You're going to find a ton of styles that you'll love, but they don't come in the bolt pattern, or you see a style that you like in 5X108, only to find that it had been discontinued. Been there, done that. ;)

Here's what you're going to find when shopping for wheels for this car.
1) You're going to find some cheap ok looking ones that they sell on Ebay, Crappy Tire, or your local speedshop as a cheap package deal in the Spring. These tend to be from lesser known wheel companies.
2) Cheaper, average quality wheels that big name wheel companies sell. Tend to be pricier than choices in #1, does not exactly mean much better quality though.
3) Pretty good quality wheels (i.e. Team Dynamics that SHO Nut sells), but extremely limited style choices.
4) Higher end, big bucks, big diameter (because not many makes high end small diameter street focused wheels anymore).

I went with #2. I hate the fake bolts on the set of Falkens (not big on the brand either, but what can you do?) I have, but aside from spending $350 each on some Axis Hiros (which had been discontinued too AFAIK) in fricking 19"s, there's not much choices.
Personally I HATE the SVTs, everyone has a set and they don't look all that good to me.
Marc (T.O. SHO) has a set of Mille Miglia MM12 that I love; clean, simple; elegant; but those have long been discontinued and they only look good on white or silver cars. They look glorious on his car, but would look totally wrong on a darker car...

BTW you think chrome is a pain to clean so you want polished wheels instead? ;)

18's are not what make a car rice to me. It's the stickers, lighting and other "performance" items that don't improve performance that makes think nice a steamed.

Why do you feel the need to advertise for those companies? For FREE might I add. I could maybe see having them under the hood, but on the exterior? FTL.

What AEM piping do you have, BTW? They never made anything for the SHO to my knowledge. Did you just get universal stuff, or mod a kit for another car?

I've been poking around for rims and always search by 5x108.

What do the thunderbird svt wheels look like? my search on google turnd up results for "mustang svt rims, thunderbirds" and all the rims on the sites were cobra r svt rims.

The style that i have in mind would be a 5 spoke rim. Not many 5 spoke rims in 5x108.....even less that look decent lol. The eagle alloy is probably the only decent looking 5 spoke i've seen. Also i want it to retain a factory look sort of. I want people to look at the rim and think its factory but good looking for the SHO.

Bigger rims (to an extent) isnt rice. Now if those rims are massive ugly chrome spinners...then thats rice. But in my opinion rice is when you over modify your car with useless crap (giant spoiler, non functional scoops, Nescafe Exhaust system, more lighting then las vegas, you did the work yourself and its clearly a ****** job etc.) or make it look ridiculously stupid.

The rims must fit your car properly...none of this...ooh, i like those rims yet they dont fit on mycar but i can make them fit...There is a guy in my area that has a VW Jetta and has deep dish rims but had to tub out the fenders to make his wheels fit. Apart from the loud exhaust and the rims, it look stock. Slower than a dead pig yet as loud as an open header drag car.

Hey Kris, got any good rim places around here? I got my rims/tires fro my 2007 malibu in Milton at a place called Cheap Thrills. They do an alright job. Got some msr rims and falken rubber for 1200 bucks. Was pretty happy, liked the rims, tires have awesome grip and it was cheap lol.

For the SHO though, i might want to do some research before just walking into a place.
