Dropped a piston through my block, needing info

Hi: For a special Easter Treat yesterday morning I decided to give my 93 ATX a little gas. To make a long story short, when she hit 2nd gear, my engine blew! Dropped all the fluids. There is no doubt I need a new motor.
My question is: how easy is it to find a used, but decent, 3.2ltr SHO engine for my 93, where is the best place to look, and how much do you think the engine would cost?
Also how much would a mechanic charge me to change out the motor?

Check some salvage search engines and go to the classifides from the shoclub.com website. There was someone there who had +-25 SHO's for parts, maybe they have something acceptable. As for cost hard to say.. 3-4k? good luck

You can also order a rebuilt one from shoshop.com... i believe a 3.2l longblock was $4600 + shipping + core (which of course will cost you shipping to send BACK to them). They were able to cut me a deal so that I wouldn't have to ship my engine back to them since it was going to cost me so much to ship it out there from here in Va.
