drivers seat makes noise when leaning on it????

in my 90 SHO, if I lean to the left (towards the door) it makes a sound like ther is a electric motor trying to move...


so i try to lean a little and hit each button and I cannot duplicate the sounds... any ideas?

If it's running a motor, perhaps something is hitting on of the switches, or otherwise triggering them? Also, just a thought (probably not right), when are you testing this? If the car is off, I have noticed I get a groaning noise from the brakes, as they are clamped onto the rotors, I suspect. You might also try disconnecting the battery and testing this, to see if it is a seat motor running. Good luck!

I had a problem where whenever I would turn left my seat would buzz (assuming same problem in yours-does it sound the same as the bolsters). It turned out their was a short on my power seat motor.

tat sounds closer to what I am getting... but the thing is it sounds likea bogged down motor.... and I try to hit the switches to make the same noise and I can 't shrug I will open up the panel ont he seat and see if I can find a short though
