I have been hearing a grinding noise when i adjust seat forward and back(drivers). I like the seat at its lowest point. I looked into it today to see metal shavings coming from inner seat track. Took me awhile to track down what it was grinding on. I found out that the bottom of the seat frame would ride on the adjuster track when at its lowest point. I compared the lowest point to the power passenger seat and it wasn't even close. Now i can avoid the contact by simply keeping it off its lowest height. Anyone ever have this issue and is there a adjustment to keep adjuster motor from going down that far. Thanks

I have not heard of anyone having that issue before. I would pull both seats out of the car and compare them. If it is so low that it is grinding on the rail I would think something would have to be bent, like the frame of the seat. Has the car ever been in an accident or had a 350 pound driver? Seats are typically pretty stout, so I would think some type of exceptional force would have had to have been exerted on it to bend it far enough to rub.
