Driver dash upper plate

in the upper corner of the driver side dash there is a cover there, I don't remember removing anything from below it, but there are mounting holes there for something.
I don't have speakers under there, could anyone tell me what might be under there?
I haven't spotted anything layin inside that could go there.

usually the sensor for the automatic headlights and the temp sensor are in that area if I remember right.

Temp sensor is on passenger side, and I just found the sensor for the auto lamp, I'm stoked. Wish I'd of seen your post before
