So many questions. I’m trying to find the right car with everything I want. Currently have a 2013 PP with everything minus adaptive cruise control and a sunroof. I’m at the dealer right now and I just test drive a 2019 PP, but it doesn’t have the automatic steering wheel that comes out from memory, it’s mechanical. It also doesn’t have massaging seats or the rear sunshade. Does anyone know what latest year they made that is PP that also includes all this stuff? Not to be nit picky, but memory steering wheel is nice and I like it electric with the up and down arrows etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think it is either/or, if I remember correctly.

Massaging seats? Too heavy. I just drive through the streets of Seattle.

Get the best example powertrain (low miles) and vehicle vs add ons. That's more stuff to break and the platform is dead. If you have back issues maybe that is important but I would not sacrifice a great car just for that.

2019 they removed features like electric pedal and steering movement on all the taurus models. Also they had a sho appearance package available that gave normal sel taurus the spoiler, seats, rims and brakes. But not the engine. Hard to find but i have the brochure for it

We have the massaging seats in my wife's MKS EcoBoost and they are set up really strange and I rarely use them because of this. First you can only run the lower cushion or the seat back massage at one time. Can't make the entire seat massage.
I find the different types of massage strange as well. One mode just punches you in the back and I would not even call that a massage?

So all and all just a very poorly designed and installed system.

Idk why I’m so butthurt over the fact my 2013 has more stuff to it than the 2019. Only major differences is Apple CarPlay and a sunroof… my 2013 has auto-parallel park, massaging seats, rear sunshade and telescope/electric wheel. These things aren’t needed but are nice to have. Oh well.

2018 was the last year for the sunshade and the power tilt wheel, that was why I had to have them find me a leftover 18 as a tall guy I wanted the power exit and entry And I wanted a new SHO before they went out of productio. The massage seats ended in 2016 when they stopped building the MKS as they used the same seats so of corse to save a few bucks why not stop offering the massage seats.

Ahhhh. Okay. I’m in ME, was going to get a 2018 PP SHO shipped to me but obviously I’d be buying it based off pictures and reports. I was lucky to find a black 2019 PP SHO 2 hours from me with very low miles so I just bought that one. I can deal with it. I’m also tall, so the memory exit/entry is very nice. At least the seat will still move back and forth lol.

Easy exit pi sses me off when doing a tune flash. So i just have 1 and 2 set for driving and getting out. Easier to me. Just press 2 and wait a second

I feel that. It resets everything LOL. It’s so annoying especially when doing tons of revisions like in my case. I also noticed the memory steering wheel position never fully went back to the SAME EXACT position as you set it. So I’d always be adjusting it anyways. Maybe mechanical is better overall

I don’t reflash my car enough for the auto exit to bother me but I do get in and out of the car quite often, lol

Anyone dealt with the aftermarket carbon fiber hood? Are pins absolutely needed?

Yes. You cant latch it because of the pressure. It would budge the hood thats why you cant use the hood shocks either.
And only aaron had a real carbon fiber hood. The others are lies as they are fiberglass with a carbon fiber wrap. Not much lighter than the factory hood also.

/me looks at sway bar combos on 2nd gens

Sometimes you get more "options"!
Hah. Yeah that was an interesting discovery. I had to measure mine with calipers to figure out which one I had.

I think we documented this more closely with the GenIIIs and decontent over the production years.

Not so on the Taurus. The seats screen will allow you to choose low, medium, or high and seat or back. Both can be used same speed, individual speeds or only one and not the other.

I’m guessing he has a older MKS, my 13 MKS is like he described adjust it by the seat switch while my 15 MKS is adjustable on screen like the Taurus.

Right, I had a 17 now a 13 with PP and now I got the massaging seats and park assist. Actually use the massage seats daily.
