Well the season is almost over and I was interested in runnin' the Regal before I do any mods to her.

So on that note I was wondering if anyone wanted to set up some sort of track day. I don't really care where it is although I prefer it to be on the East Side of the state. I was thinking Milan Dragway since Lapeer is quite the shotty track (horrible PA system, terrible return road, helmet requirement and their times are usually faster than what you're really running).

I believe the cost is $25 at Milan and although you don't get nearly as many passes as you do at Lapeer but hey you'll be at an IHRA track!

Weather was about the same both days but I digress.

So anyone interested? Only 2 more days left (Wed 15th and 22nd)!

Funny that the Mustang and F-Body guys always complained that Lapeer was slower than Milan.

I coud be wrong but get 25-30 runs for yor $25, rather than 2-4 runs, will tend you yield some better timeslips with more practice.

Milan ever fix their bumpy starting line? A real bitch for MTX cars without a line lock.

I lost my slips but I had less gas, smaller wheels and an empty trunk and ran .4 seconds slower @ Milan than I did at Lapeer with 18"s, full trunk and a full tank of gas.

I didn't notice their start line to be very bumpy at all but I could have not been paying attention.

You may get more runs for your money out at Lapeer but for me it's also about an hour or so away. Milan is 20 minutes and they have way nicer facilities.

What were the temps? Barometer, Humidity? Wind?

Plus what were the trap speeds and traction? Lotsa factors contribute to differences, including the driver.

Smaller wheels won't necessarily contribute to better ETs. Taller ones can lay down more rubber and gain you more in 60' times than what is lost from the better gearing for the rest of the run.

I guess I should have went through with becoming a meteorologist huh? Didn't think to write everything down.

Trap speeds were about 2-3 MPH slower. I guess I could have been driving it wrong.

It's not so much the size of the rims I was factoring. I was thinking of the weight difference.

But lets move on from my runs at either places. I was just trying to get some people to come out to a nice strip to get a couple runs in and have a good time.

I'd be down for either day... I only went once this year and my Drag Radials need more rubber burnt off em'. Milan is only like 15 mins from me so that would be easy for me to make.
