I'm not sure what others are doing but what I planned when I get my kit hooked up is (and what a few others have said they do) is hit the juice as soon as you hit second gear which would be around 5000 I would guess.

Depends who Im racing :)

If its just a fun race, then I hit it right before the secondaries. If something is on the line, I hit is as soon as the clutch is fully disengaged. I beat a new M3 w/ a 75 shot this way :omg:

Its been a while since I have used it...I want to fully break in/tune my motor before using it again.

BTW I recommend the Zex kit.

Wow, great (or worped) mines think alike! I was getting ready to post this very question! i just installed my ZEX kit a few days ago! I was under the impression that you would NOT want to spray before the secondaries, for the increased air flow that they provide. I was also thinking that the earliest I could use it was 2nd gear. I would Just put on a smoke SHO in first! I spin in first enough as it is!

The 225/50/16 Good Year Eagle F1's I have are great for the twisties, but aren't the best for drag racing. I agree, sticky tires are the way to go! I have one problem though, I have broken three CV shafts already! I know the solution is just a few $$$ away in the form of stage IV axles though! I better start saving, because there is nothing better than putting 10 grand into a 500 dollar car! God I love my SHO's!!! :nut: :nut:

When i had my nitrous i used the n2o as soon as my foot went to the floor, so as soon as i launched and had the pedal down the n2o was sprayin. If you smoke the tires you either have bad rubber, or messed up alignment. you shouldnt be able to just roast the tires unless you try

I'm with Tyler. Straight outta the hole, which would be about 2700RPM. Mine is set for WOT activation. I'll probably add a window switch now that it's in conjunction with a supercharger.

off the line, dropped at 3, wot activation, hold the pedal down far enough to get grip, then push it down a little more

A manual switch is OK as long as you install it in series with a WOT switch. You don't want to accidentally start spraying at part throttle. I had no traction problems with nitto drag radials(broken CV to prove it), but with street tires, second gear activation would be nice.

I have the Zex kit on my SHO and actually was only able to get ONE run in at the track with it last year (it was the end of the year and it happened to ran on the way to the track). But anyways I have it set to spray at WOT, so I get my launch down and when I felt it hook up it was pedal to the floor and spray time. And I ended up running the time below with a passenger.

I have a video of that run at the track if anyone is interested in it.

NOS is a workable system, but I don't put much faith in a company where their mustang system works better on the sho than their own sho system... Also am not a fan of the mechanical activation...
