I'm guessing by the $700 PPE price tag, you are looking at catless pipes still advertised on Vivid Racing and JM Auto Racing. Have you talked to PPE Engineering? There was a LARGE crack down on components that eliminate emissions components. Most (including PPE I believe) have ceased production on their "race only" or "off road" catless pipes. PPE is $1800 for catted down pipes. In addition, tuners have started not offering tunes that disable sensors. If you are looking at catless pipes, do you have a tuner lined up to create a catless tune? My guess is in a few months you will be told they cannot get that product any longer.

I questioned this myself, and was told that they are still selling catless as long as the customer signs an "off road use" waiver. We as a company have chosen to only sell catted units, but we've heard that they are going to start cracking down next on even catted units since many still trigger codes and may require flow and NOx certifications to continue sales. Slipper slope...

Interesting, PPE doesn't even advertise them on their site. As far as a slippery slope, look at the ban on ICE motors for lawn mowers/small engines by 2024 and all new ICE motor cars by 2035.

I’m going to reach out to PPE, I appreciate the insight, I know EPA has been cracking down since the move to electric vehicles. I blame VW and the diesel scandal…..
