 i have the tranny out and have not removed both of the cv shafts
the passenger side one is out but the one on the drivers side that goes from the trans to the center support bearing is still in
i need to remove it though but i have been told that if i remove both sides cv shaft then the diff gears will misalign them self and the tranny will need to be rebuilt so what should i put in the pass side cv shaft hole so i can take out the drivers side one

removing the halfshafts does not "misalign" the trans. only removing the shift interlock bolt and then moving the shifter causes misalignment and requires a trans rebuild thereafter.

so, remove both shafts and be done with it.

Nothing will happen if you remove both of them. I have done it a few times and there is no way anything can get misaligned when you do it.
