Is there a dash kit that will allow me to install a double din head unit in my dash? 94 ATX

It shouldnt be that hard... mainly you just have to remove the plastic piece that separates the top & bottom. Maybe a little around the sides & you'll probably want to make some sort of reiforcement for your headunit behind it.

its a bit harder than that. the plastic piece is covering a metal support which would have to be cut out. yououd then have to make sure the structural integrity of the dash section can handle the weight of the double din player. not impossible but not a simple plastic piece removal.

It's not all that hard either Justin. When they ripped out my aftermarket stereo and stole the factory head unit that was laying in the backseat, at the same time, I figured I wasn't going to give any other thief the pleasure of getting any more of my money. This is what I did.

It wasn't too hard. I just cut out the middle piece, then when the radio slides in, the clips seem to keep it in place.

I don't think i've ever seen a Ford CD player with standard plugs before.

I just gotta get something more permanent for the bottom, to give it a more finished look. Also to give it support so it doesn't slide down.

I just fabbed something up I had laying around to make it appear finished. Looks good, but not how I pictured it.

It looks like it came with the car (until you notice there are now 2 clocks), so I suppose I got what I wanted. The sound coming out of it isn't half bad either.

That looks really nice and stock looking, I doubt anyone would want to steal that. It would be cool to get a DD 6 disc changer head unit from the newer Mustangs in there.
