Does anyone know where I could get a set of exterior door trim/rubbers for a reasonable price on a 97 SHO?

The rubber trim panel at the base of the glass on each of my 4 doors is dry rotted. I'd like to get a replacement set.

Also: How hard are these to change?

One last question: Can anyone recommend a GOOD paint shop that they have experience with in the northern Atlanta (Gwinnett County) area? I'm looking to spruce up my baby ...... :thumb:

I priced out new beltline weatherstrip (that's what it's called) last year and it was quite pricey. $30 for each of the front doors, and $25 for each of the rear doors, PLUS the goofy clips that hold the weatherstrip to the door. I still haven't figured out how much those clips cost, but I know they aren't cheap. I always keep my eyes peeled in junkyards (the weatherstrip is the same for all Taurus sedans) but so far I haven't seen any that's really nice enough to go through the hassle. Those clips always break when you try to remove them.

Thanks! That's what I was afraid of. I did find one set on a wrecked 2001 Taurus, but they were in even worse shape than mine. (And mine are pretty bad, and several years older!)

If you have any luck finding documentation on those clips please post the info here. I'll do the same. Thanks for sharing the official name of this part.
