My 95 SHO power door lock does not work on the passenger side. I think its the door lock motor since whenever I tell them to lock I hear a whining noise but no action. If this is the case and I do need a new motor, can I use a motor from any Taurus or Sable from this time period? Does it matter if I have a driver's side or passenger's side motor? If anyone thinks that it's not the motor, your ideas are appreciated.

I had to replace my drivers side motor (it is called 'door lock actuator'), because it was doing exactly what you are describing. Yes, you can use any Tauri, or Sable acuator, I don't know if they are specific per door, as I have only seen one. I bought a Wells model from AZ which I put in and has worked fine ever since. You have to pull the poor panel to install it. It is held in by a huge rivet that you have to drill out of the side of the door. It takes a while to get the old one out and the new one in, but with patience it is doable. The hardest part was riveting the new one in. I couldn't find a rivet gun big enough to rivet the dumb thing. Good thing I am friends with the parts manager at the stealership, he got me the Ford rivet gun and let me use it in the parking lot...
