Door Lock Issue

My 2010 recently developed a problem with driver side rear door. The lock actuator when actuated from the key fob just keeps firing while the button is depressed. I can still unlock the door from inside and open but cannot unlock door sucessfully with the Key FOB. Very frustating this car continues to have way more gremlins than it should for only 42000 miles. Any help appreciated.

maybe the keyfob needs to be re-programmed or possibly even a new battery? My wife's old lexus did something similar.

You mention you can still unlock the door from the inside and open the door. Do you mean by pulling the door handle the door will unlock and open, or does the lock actuator work fine from the door lock/unlock switch on the driver's door? IE: is the fob the only electric lock function that is acting up, or does the same thing happen when using the power lock button in the car?

The malfunction also occurs when the unlock button is pushed in the door panel. The only way to open door is to unlock manually from inside

Yep! Sounds like the door lock actuator chit the bed.

My passenger side front door started doing this as well. It fires itself about 3 times when I hit unlock and sometimes works, sometimes doesnt. I need to take it in and get it replaced.
