When I come to a stop and when I start from a stop my driver's door creaks. I have checked and tightened all the internal fixtures to no avail. Anyone experienced this?

Creaks and moans are just the nature of our cars. If you haven't already, you can try to replace any worn panel fasteners. I did this over this past weekend to my two front doors and it has helped immensely. You can find the little plastic door panel fasteners at AutoZone or equivalent type of store.

Does it sound like it is moving in the frame or does it sound like the inner plastic panel is rubbing on the metal door? If the door is moving in the frame, you can lubricate the hinges and the striker bolt and use silicone on the weatherstripping. If the door is not aligned properly in the body, you may have to adjust the hinges and striker bolt.

If it is the door panel, use the peel-off stick-on felt pads (the ones used to protect furniture) between the panel and the door.

SHOs don't have to squeak and rattle. Take a ride in my old girl for proof.

I have narrowed it down to a creaking hinge. I'll tighten and/or replace it at the weekend.

I've never before given any thought to using the foam pads. You are a genious!

My front doors are virtually squeak-free now. This past weekend, all the plastic fasteners were replaces, the hinges were wd-40'ed and the door panel was lined with auto silicone so that no plastic was pressed against the metal.
