yeah i would have it cleaned but im spending little to no money on this car. thats why im not replacing the valve cover gaskets, otherwise id do a full 60k on this thing. I was just gunna spry some carb cleaner through it and maybe run some atf through the fuel system to clean everything out.

While I was removing the exterior paint from the intake in prep for PC I got some of the marine stripper on the inside, it disolved the carbon/laquer buildup immediately and washed out with water to leave a shiny aluminum surface ready for reassembly or further finishing/honing/polishing/etc...

not bad if the intake is off the car, but im leaving mine on because this car has so many leaks im scared to move stuff. I feel like if i move a hose its gunna crack and cause a vaccume leak.

you bought the wrong car if you think you are just getting a winter beater with this thing. there are so many things that need attention... namely the crank sensor, and the water pump that is usually leaking onto it. that will leave you stranded, sometimes if you are lucky, letting you start up and drive a few more minutes.

notice my posts, I know what I bought, the wp was replaced 10k miles ago, and if it breaks ill deal with it, its a beater they are supposed to be pieces of crap.
