Does your MTX scream?

Does anyone elses MTX tranny sound kinda like a NASCAR one where it has the power scream to it, Or is something wrong with mine?

Mine makes a spooling up nascar sound in 2nd but thats it...... i figure for 125k its allowed to make some racket, especially what sounds cool

I think there's some chatter in first..but between the opened up intake AND exhaust....I can't really hear anything else

Mine whines in all gears , especially when gearing down. It sounds really bad a$$ when the gears scream and the secondaries open :****: I believe that this is an ok sound. Before I purchased my SHO I had my family mechanic inspect it. He took it for a test drive and made no complaints about any sounds , and he is familiar with SHO's. One of his former clients had one.

my 89 screams pretty loud small hole in **** but turns heads when i wind her up, little vibration on clutch pedal sometimes, new clutch

i was more or less say 2nd gear keeping a steady 20mph. Its not only second it doesnt but when i speed up i cant here it as bad

over the solid motor mounts creating NVH in the cabin, i cant hear jack-squat. cant even hear my stereo during high RPMs

The mechanical whine of the SHO is flippin fantastic

Recently I passed a buddy as we were getting onto the freeway...

Later:

"dude, the intake on that thing SCREAMS! I couldnt hear anything else!"

So I guess the answer is, Yes, the SHO screams

mine makes a spooling up sound when i am in 3rd gear. i can hear it in 2nd gear but it is more noticable in 3rd gear.

Both in my '89 and '91 have a whine that sounds like a supercharger. You can hear it most when your on the gas bout half-way before the secondaries open.

The only thing though, even before the silencer cone was taking out in my '89, it still sounded louder than the '91. Sometimes you cant even hear the secondaries open up.

Every mtx SHO I have had...3 now has made that noise. Even with new internals in the tranny you still get 3rd gear whine.

I don't mind it though. I actually ran the 92 up to redline in 1st-3rd last night...its been awhile.

Had to show some other college people what the grocery getter was all about

The spare 184K MTX in my 92 has gear clatter when you are first starting off in 1st.

Mine wines in some gears and every part was replaced (gears and everything) 5k miles ago.
