Does this sound like a coil pack?

Spark plugs 1 and 5 are clean and firing strong.
Spark plugs 2,6,3, and 4 become dirty quickly.

If I'm correct the coil pack acts like 3 separate coils (1,5)(2,6)(3,4). The coil was moved around several times. Sometimes not very gently. Also it happened to be covered in break cleaner at one point and time during the swap. Before the swap I did have a coil pack code, but I don't remember what the code was.

The coil pack is three separate coils.

Be sure the power plug is securely attached. I had a problem with the silicone gasket bunching up and one pin not making good contact.

You may want to give each pin a slight twist with a needle nose. This will ensure a better friction fit contact.

You did not mention if the engine was running well or not. Is it misfiring?

Check for codes. The EEC can detect if the 12V primary signal input to the coil pack is faulty, but not the secondary, high voltage side. Other contributors to a faulty primary side circuit could be the connectors on the harness at the DIS module and the coil pack.

Sorry about that. Yes the engine is misfiring badly and won't idle because of that.

Do you know where I can find a wiring diagram for the Coil pack, DIS, etc?

Bah, all I get is "Page cannot be found..."

To check for proper DIS grounding should I take a DMM with one side on a 12v source and other side on one of the bottom bolts of the DIS?

To check for proper grounding using an ohm meter check between the bottom DIS bolts and the negative battery terminal. Should be under .5 Ohm. Touch you meter leads together first and subtract that number from your actual reading.
