Hey, thanks for the reply. For a short term fix, I did this...
, ..
but I would like to get a replacement gear. It's easy to get the whole actuator if ya wanna pay between 150 (Oreiley)-250(GM dealer) bucks, but for a 25 cent gear, I just can't bring myself to do it...yet... I'll try that name you sent, tks for that..
Yeah, I wonder what'll happen with a splined aluminum post and a plastic gear?? The same thing that happens with the old nylon timing gears and a metal timing chain...planned obsolescence.
It is a blend door actuator motor from a 1998 chevy blazer 4w drive 4 door V6
Hey, thanks very much man...I've got it back in the car and it's working for the moment. Need to re the compressor and drier and such, but at least I stopped the heat from the engine compartment from blowing on my feet for now. Anyway, no hurry, but if you find one in a jy that has intact gears, I'd be interested..tks again,
I think the number end in 1338 or maybe 1388, but I think 1338, or maybe its 138B, it should come up n a parts search one way or the other....I copied this pic from my little video, I didn't write it down cause I wasn't going to buy one and the stores are happy to sell ya one with their number
