I've used boar's hair brushes, still didn't really help with the matting. I'm guessing there's a point of no return with this fabric once its been matted down enough?
The trick I’ve found with the boars hair brushes, as far as alcantara, is to get two brushes.
Cut the bristles of one about half way down.
What this does is gives you stiffer bristles as opposed to the long ones that are a not nearly as stiff, use the sonax listed, let sit for about a minute, and work in circular motions, wipe off with a clean terry cloth, rinse brush, then repeat.
Should bring the matting up.
The second brush is to brush off any loose particles.
Been doing this method since 04 with my Cobra with alcantara seats and hasn’t failed me yet. Seats always looked new.
