Do I Dare Lower a SHO driving on MI roads? I would love to lower my SHO, but its my daily driver which see a lot of SE Michigan roads, which are quite harsh. What setup is best suited for rough terrain?

I live in Minnesota and I have a lowered SHO. This winter I had no problems with it. I guess I could have had my stock springs put back in when I had my winter tires put on (I get it done for free) but I didn't see a need to. I didn't have any problems and don't plan on ever having to put the stock springs back in.

I more concerned with the giant *** holes than snow. With my stock setup, with new stuts, i take some good licks everyday. I just don't want to beat the car to death.

I'd go eibach if I had a choice... my daily driver is now adorning the intrax/tokico setup and it does not feel "smooth" on the Iowa roads. I've heard more forgiving results with the eibachs which give you the performance without the as noticeable drop. shrug

ooooooohhhh South Lyon. The roads are NICE down there wink

I live in Auburn Hills. The roads are extremely bad right now. My Eibachs are decently forgiving. During pothole season, I turn my Koni's all the way down, and it's fine.

I'm thinking that for potholes, I wouldn't worry too much about a moderate (1.5" or less) drop.

Wheel/tires, however, are an entirely different matter. Tall wheels (especially 18" or more) with short sidewalls don't live very long here.
