Is this happenig to you guys. This past week I've gone 120miles on a 1/2 tank of gas. I usually get about 170 to 180 this heat sucks. I only fill it 1/2 way all of the time during the summer because of the heat but its getting worse now.

fill up at the coolist part of the day too. You'll get more gas for the buck.
yeha like early morning when the gas in the tanks had a chance to cool, liek 6am is probably ideal:thumb:

yea...you buy gas when its hot, and its less dense...as it cools, it contracts (not a ton, but enough that you notice it on your guages). I would also be aware that there are gas stations that short their customers on quantity of gas pumped. Its more likely you are getting gas when its really hot.

Fuel stored in underground tanks is going to be relatively constant temperature unless it just came off the delivery truck.

Summer blend fuels have been reformulated to reduce volatility. Also reduces the energy content......

All that I was asking was. did anyone else have a sudden fuel drop when it was over 111 for like a week? I know all about when and how to put fuel in my car. I even park sooo close to a wall that a ant can't get thru and get to the gas cap. I know that fuel dissapates in the heat but sh it about 4 gals worth!
